About The High Lonesome Casita

Welcome to our secluded, hideaway home.  Located at 4900' elevation, this home provides beautiful vistas of the numerous mountains in the area. It is available year-round, and features four corrals for folks traveling with horses.

The High Lonesome Casita is new, having just been completed in 2007.  It is fully furnished with all linens, kitchen and pantry items, such as coffee, tea, sugar, spices, etc.  This cozy Santa Fe style home is a great place to return to after a day of sightseeing or vacationing in Cochise County.  Come back to relax on one of the porches in the quiet surroundings, watching the local wildlife and birds, having dinner outside if you choose, or viewing the amazing skies at night that are filled with stars as far as you can see!  The Casita provides comfortable accommodations for 2-4 guests in a fully stocked home with complete kitchen, laundry, and private acreage to enjoy and hike on.  Feel free to hike on all of the maintained roads on the ranch, too!

Use this house as your vacation base while enjoying Southeastern Arizona. Head south and visit Douglas or Nogales, Arizona, or Mexico.   Visit Sierra Vista (40 minute drive), considered to be the bird watching capital of North America. Enjoy a short drive to the wildlife refuge in McNeal, AZ, which is the winter home of the Sandhill Cranes, (the lake can be seen in the distance from the Casita). Tour the copper mines of Bisbee and shop at the numerous antiques shops and art galleries located there.  Visit Rattlesnake Crafts, located about 10 minutes from the casita.  You’ll never come across another place like it.  I promise!! Take a 5 minute drive (really less than that) over to the deserted, ghost town of Gleeson.  Some of the ghost town buildings are located on High Lonesome Road, as you are beginning to leave the ranch.  Be sure and visit Tombstone to experience the most famous town of the Old West!
